Highly
acclaimed yet hardly known, Sweetings Fish Camp offers some of
the best bone fishing known to man. Located on the highly-coveted
northside flats of the Little Bahama Bank, visitors find hundreds
of square miles of fishable flats. Sweetings is an ideal habitat
for bonefish.
Wadeable flats of hard sand and algae-covered rock are everywhere,
and cruising fish are encountered in singles, pairs and small
groups as well as large schools in above-average sizes. Fish in
the 4- to 6-pound range are common, with 7- to 8-pounders not
uncommon. Catches of 15-18 bonefish per day are claimed by the
more experienced on both fly and spinning equipment. |
